About the Program
The Mental Health & Wellness Program at Nawican Friendship Centre provides comprehensive, culturally safe support for individuals and families navigating mental health challenges, emotional well-being, and life’s difficulties. We understand that mental health is health, and seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Our program takes a holistic approach that honors Indigenous perspectives on wellness while integrating evidence-based mental health practices. If you’re experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s stresses, our compassionate team is here to support you without judgment. We believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support that respects their culture, honors their experiences, and empowers them on their healing journey. From individual counseling to wellness workshops, crisis support to peer connections, we walk alongside you toward greater resilience and hope for the future.
